In January 2006, Trubion and Wyeth announced a strategic alliance to develop and commercialize TRU-015 and certain other SMIP drug candidates aimed at major disease indications.

We are interested in complementing our expanding product portfolio through additional selective partnering or in-licensing of appropriate targets or product candidates. Our alliance strategy is focused on target- and indication-exclusive alliances that develop Trubion product candidates for commercialization in high-value indications. Through a successful alliance strategy, Trubion hopes to maximize the global commercial potential of its proprietary product portfolio and leverage its SMIP product engine.

Trubion has significant management expertise in inflammatory disease and oncology drug development. With senior experience at leading biopharmaceutical companies including Amgen, Chiron, BMS and Immunex, Trubion’s management team has a history of developing and commercializing blockbuster pharmaceuticals.While Trubion’s focus is building a portfolio of novel, proprietary, SMIP™ product candidates, the company may consider extraordinary opportunities to in-license clinical stage biotherapeutics in inflammatory disease and oncology.
